Potty Training 101

Well, the time has come and I've been stalling. Like, really stalling.

Yes, it's time for little CC to make the big girl move to the potty and leave those pesky baby diapers behind. It's just that Ian and I are terrified. Not that our daughter's growing up. We're basically freaked out by the messiness of it.

That's my latest post on LA Moms Blog, Is There a School for Potty Training? You know, for Parents? Check it out.

Don't worry, when the time is right, it will happen. We potty trained our daughter pretty early. Bought a potty when she was one year, left it in the corner and let her just sit for a little while every morning or when ever we felt a job coming. They get the hang of it pretty quick

One year?! That's great! I'm still waiting for C to think of it as something other than a toy. :)

Luckily girls are usually a bit earlier, but don't be surprised if it takes till she's nearly three. Strangely, I have two friends who have written potty training books:

and

Thanks for the book links, Pat! Maybe those will help speed up the process. I'm all for her doing it on her own.
