Can I have this dance, Blogger Prom?

Last night at Blogger Prom, we partied like it was 1989.

Hosted on the rooftop of the Andaz Hotel on the Sunset Strip, bloggers from all over L.A. were in attendance at the first event of its kind, where the dress code was cheesy prom attire. Emphasis on the cheese.

A special thanks to Eating L.A. blogger Pat, who invited me to be her plus-one. In addition to chatting with her, I got to meet up with some familiar faces (Mike from Franklin Avenue, minus wife Maria, who decided to sit out the would-be hilarious rif on preggo at the prom; and Kim from House of Prince, in pic below). I also got to meet bloggers I've read but have never laid eyes on (Siel from Green LA Girl and one of our night's hostesses, Tara from When Tara Met Blog.)

I had a great time, all decked out in a sea foam blue-green dress I picked up at Goodwill for a mere $3.99 and (un)matching gold shoes for a little pricier $5.99. It was all in good fun, as we dined on sponsored eats from RH and Polkatots Cupcakes and imbibed courtesy booze from the likes of Pinky Vodka and Martin Miller's Gin.

And the night's goody bag might be deserving of its own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It was that good.
