CC's favorite yellow, cone-headed creature from the sun, Gustafer Yellowgold, will be landing at McCabe's Guitar Shop in Santa Monica on Sunday, May 15 at 11 a.m.
She's been waiting more than a year for another multimedia song fest from Gustafer Yellowgold creator/songwriter Morgan Taylor. CC had a fabulous time last year, crooning to the mellow-yellow tunes.
This year's performance, featuring music from new CD/DVD "Infinity Sock," will be the first show to have a story line, unlike previous performances that featured a grab bag of little vignette-focused songs -- kind of like short stories set to music.
For those of you who don't know Gustafer, he is a mild-mannered creature who left the sun in search of cooler climes, ultimately landing in the chilly Minnesota, where he befriended a pterodactyl named Forrest Applecrumbie and an eel named Slim.
While Gustafer himself doesn't talk, Taylor expresses his thoughtfulness and curiosity through catchy songs that explore friendship, loss and the new world around him.
