Updated: Easter Basket Grand Giveaway!

As the Easter Bunny makes his way to your house and mine, I would like to offer something extra special -- courtesy of Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and MGM Home Entertainment -- to bulk up the Bunny booty.

I am giving away -- in an ultra-short amount of time, no less -- a huge gift basket that includes DVDs and Blu-ray discs from the above-mentioned studios, as well as other goodies listed below:

  • Alvin and the Chipmunks (Blu-ray Disc)
  • The Black Stallion DVD
  • Horton Hears a Who (Blu-ray)
  • Ice Age (Blu-ray)
  • Ice Age: The Meltdown (Blu-ray)
  • Night at The Museum (Blu-ray)
  • The Pink Panther 2 (Blu-ray)
  • The Secret of Nimh DVD
  • Horton plush elephant doll
  • Alvin plush doll
  • Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel soundtrack
  • Ice Age Scrat plush doll
  • Chocolate bunny
  • Easter grass
  • Plastic Easter eggs

This has been a tough year for a lot of people, as the economy just keeps pounding away at the job market. Our house hasn't been excluded in that.

So something like this would be great for a family that might otherwise have thought that Easter would be a little lean this year.

To enter, please leave a comment below telling me why your family would love to have this basket, and I'll announce the winner tomorrow, Saturday, April 3, at 9 p.m.

Good luck!

For more info about the films, visit www.MoreEasterFun.com.

UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who participated in this giveaway. I really loved reading all of the great family stories. It was tough to pick just one, but I ended up choosing Grandma Judy. I think sharing this amazing basket with her grandchildren so they can have an exciting holiday and forget the day-to-day problems is really touching.

Congrats, Grandma Judy! And for everyone who entered, there will be more giveaways in the future, so stay tuned!

Okay, I just fell over from a heart attack. Awesome prize pack.

This would mean so much to my family because we love movies and there is so many we want to see, but just don't have the funds to go out and purchase them all. We are huge on family movie night and rarely ever miss a week. It is a special bonding time for us and we are desperate for new movies to watch. I can't convey into words how much we would appreciate a wonderful gift like this.

Thanks so much for the chance to enter my name.

We would love to have this basket because home entertainment is the best, cheapest form of entertainment. We love watching movies and we love Fox and MGM :) *Thanks* for the giveaway!

Oh, man, this is an awesome basket. I hope I'm still in time to enter!

I'd love to win this because I think my niece and nephews love every single movie in the basket, with the possible exception of The Black Stallion (which I doubt they've heard of, and that's a shame which we would totally rectify).

My niece in particular would completely flip over the Alvin and the Chipmunks plush doll - that's her favorite movie right now.

Thank you very much for the giveaway!

Wow - what an amazing prize basket! My family loves to watch movies together and my kids would love all of these movies! We like to make a tent on the bed (the old fashioned way with blankets and sheets), make popcorn and settle in for a fun movie. Movie theater prices are too expensive so this would be a wonderful gift!! Thank you for the chance.

OK, I'm new at this and don't know how to do this, but I've been encouraged to add my address, so that if I'm lucky enough to win this great basket, the powers that be will know how to contact me. I'm Grandma Judy (previous comment). heyjudedonatAOLdottcom

You're soo right about tough times for all of us.

And so in this warm season of love and sacrifice my response as to why I think this basket would be great for our family is the opportunity to share the wealth with others. Granted if it's within the rules, I would love to share this with other families and donate some to our very own nursery school at church.
Cheesy response perhaps, but even when we are struggling I don't see why we can't share a bit of good fortune with others.

Hope we win! Best of luck to the other contestants in the running

As you know, I do not have a family but my good friend and co-worker Fabian does. He is a single father of three. His entire life is his kids. He never takes time for himself and he is always giving all he has to his kids. Being a teacher, and a single father of three he is not able to do extravagant things, like this, for his kids. I know that this would bring a huge smile to his kids faces.
